Jagan senses Naidu plan, seeks security

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy appears to have sensed a big conspiracy by his bitter rival Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to create hurdles in his proposed padayatra scheduled to begin on November 6.

During the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Naidu commented that Jagan was trying to create unrest among the people with his padayatra and even suspected that there could be Tuni-like violent incidents during the tour.

His comments led to the suspicion among the YSRC leadership that Naidu himself might plan some violent incidents during padayatra, thereby forcing the police to stop Jagan from proceeding further in the name of law and order maintenance.

That is why Jagan cleverly approached Director General of Police N Sambasiva Rao and called for total security and protection for his padayatra, since he falls under Z category.

In his letter, Jagan pointed out that he would be taking padayatra for 16-17 km a day and would have night halts. It would go on for nearly seven months.

“So, kindly ensure proper security arrangements during the tour,” he said.

He also submitted a detailed tour plan and route map to the police to see that padayatra goes on smoothly.

This will definitely spoil Naidu’s plan, if he has any, to spoil Jagan’s padayatra. Since he falls under Z security category, the police will have to provide him all protection!
