Jagan Govt Itself To Make Krishnapatnam Medicine?

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government has been going cautious in giving permission to Bonige Anandaiah, self-styled Ayurvedic practitioner from Krishnapatnam in Nellore district, to distribute his medicine to cure Covid-19, till it gets all the positive reports.

But his party MLAs seem to be in a hurry to get quick permission to Anandaiah so that they would get some credit for the distribution of Krishnapatnam medicine among the people and get mileage.

It was Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Goverdhan’s overenthusiasm in commencing the mass distribution of medicine that led to all the chaos.

Thousands of people thronged the village to get the medicine, without caring for Covid-19 restrictions.

As a result, the government had to step in and stop the distribution till the medicine gets approvals from all the regulators, including Ayush department and other such agencies. Anandaiah has been kept under strict police supervision.

Now, another YSRC MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy from Chandragiri, who announced that the distribution of medicine would be done on war footing. He said the state government was awaiting a report from Central Ayush ministry.

“Immediately after getting approval from the Centre, Anandaiah medicine will be distributed on war footing,” he said.

He said the state government itself would take up the preparation of Krishnapatnam medicine, if the Centre gives approval.

“We are taking steps for the preparation of the medicine in the pharmacy lab of Sri Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati. It will begin soon after getting the approval,” Chevireddy announced.

He said the government was ready to distribute the medicine to any number of patients, even if they are in lakhs, once it gets all the approvals.
