How Amit Shah and CBN outsmarted Pawan Kalyan

Greatandhra.com was the first to report that Pawan Kalyan had requested for a place in the Union Cabinet and Amit Shah agreed on the condition that Pawan merge his Jana Sena with the BJP as the Jana Sena was not a recognized political entity, yet, then with no elected representatives.

Pawan was unwilling to do this for obvious reasons. This news reported by us was greeted with a lot of skepticism then.

Exclusive: Why did Amit Shah suggest JSP-BJP merger?

But Pawan Kalyan’s statements today have completely vindicated our coverage.

Speaking to the media in Vijayawada today, Pawan Kalyan said that Chandrababu hand cheated him completely.

“When I met him in 2014, I expressed my intention to contest in 60 to 70 seats but Chandrababu said it would split the vote bank and asked me not to contest and merely campaign for the TDP-BJP combine.

He promised to send me to the Rajya Sabha after the elections. The next day, he gave a completely different account to the newspapers. I realised then itself that he was a cheat. Had I contested in 2014, we would have won a few seats,” said Pawan Kalyan.

What Pawan failed to add was that he wanted a Union Minister post as well through the Rajya Sabha route.

He wanted to become a Central Minister and develop his Jana Sena. But Chandrababu instead of refusing the Rajya Sabha asked Pawan to get an assurance from Amit Shah on his induction into the Union Cabinet knowing fully well that it wouldn’t materialise.

Amit Shah instead of refusing Pawan Kalyan’s request asked him to merge the Jana Sena, also knowing fully well that it wouldn’t happen.

Thus, the baby boy in politics, Pawan Kalyan, was thoroughly outsmarted by the seasoned Amit Shah and Chandrababu.

It also shows how seasoned politicians operate. They will never say ‘no’ for an answer. Instead, they will create such a situation where the other person will be forced to retreat of his own accord.

Congress never sent Jagan Mohan Reddy out of the Party; instead, it created a situation where it became impossible for Jagan to continue and made him leave the Party of his own accord.

But there is nothing like experience and Pawan will learn many more such lessons in future provided he is illing to learn from them instead of responding with emotional outbursts.
