Harmony Missing In AP Ministers, MLAs?

Harmony Missing In AP Ministers, MLAs?

An uneasy atmosphere is prevailing in the YSR Congress party in various districts of Andhra Pradesh, with lack of harmony between the local MLAs and ministers representing the district.

Sources in the party said in several districts, the MLAs have been terribly upset with the ministers because the latter are not entertaining any recommendations from the MLAs.

“The ministers are not accessible to the MLAs, let alone doing their works at the state level,” a party leader said.

According to him, the ministers are also helpless because they do not take up any work recommended by the MLAs, without taking approval from the chief minister.

“This has resulted in a communication gap between the MLAs and ministers,” he said.

However, there are some ministers who are able to call shots in the administration and are able to get their works done.

“Such ministers are taking easy with the MLAs, because they do not want the credit to go to the MLAs,” he said.

These ministers want the party workers to directly approach them, instead of routing the recommendations through the MLAs.

“Such has been the pathetic state of the MLAs that they are not able to get even Tirupati darshan to their followers,” the party leader said.

This has resulted in a wide gap between the MLAs and ministers in many districts. The MLAs are not able to get direct access to chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and are, therefore ruing for their fate.
