The whole of India has been plunged into chaos following the demonetization decision of Narendra Modi.
Daily lives have been badly hit, especially for the middle classes and the poor. Politicians who are quick to seize on any opportunity to attack the government have surprisingly been silent on the decision.
No non-BJP CM of any State is coming out against the decision. Reason? If they criticize Modi now, people would assume that they are angry because they have a lot of black money with them.
The other day, KCR expressed some resentment over the demonetization and critics immediately said he was upset because he had plenty of illegal money with him.
Therefore, except for Mamata Banerjee or Arvind Kejriwal, no other CM is willing to speak out. In fact, when Mamata Banerjee tried to enlist the support of opposition parties including the CPM to fight the government’s decision, she received a lukewarm reception.
