Ex-Chief Secretary to join Jagan party?

Within hours of former chief secretary Ajeya Kallam making strong comments against the Chandrababu Naidu government on Friday, political observers have started speculating as to what his plans could be for coming out so suddenly to attack Naidu.

They started going deep into Kallam’s comments and concluded that he seems to have political ambitions and might join a political party sooner or later.

Since he has attacked the TDP and its chief, the obvious choice before Kallam is either YSR Congress party or the Bharatiya Janata Party.

His one comment while talking to a television channel has given rise to the impression that he might prefer YSR Congress party. He said the thinking of the youth towards politicsl has to change.

“They should decide as to who the real heroes are -- people, who don make-up in the dressing rooms and read out scripts written by script-writers, or those who have been striving day and night for the people’s welfare and making sacrifices for the society. A hero in the celluloid world cannot become a hero in the real world,” he said.

It was obvious that his first sentence was referring to Pawan Kalyan, actor-turned-politician. And the second one, according to the observers, has an oblique reference to YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been fighting hard on people’s issues and made his MPs sacrifice their Lok Sabha seats.

At the same time, Kallam talked about alarming rise in corruption in the Chandrababu Naidu government, exactly on the lines of Jagan. So, the speculation that Kallam might join the YSRC looks closer to the reality!
