Ex-CBI JD To Launch A New Party!

At last, former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation and retired IPS officer V V Lakshminarayana has disclosed his political plans: he is not going to join any political party, but will launch his own regional party in Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources close to Lakshminarayana, he will announce his new political party at a press conference, the venue of which is not known yet, on November 26.

He will also disclose the name of the party, its flag, philosophy and his plan of action in the coming days, sources said.

It was only last month that Lakshminarayana announced that he would soon enter politics. Till then, he had been dodging the issue of his future course of action.

He said he had received an open invitation from Aam Admi Party to head the party unit in Andhra Pradesh, besides another invitation from a national party.

“I am yet to take a decision on whether or not to accept these invitations,” he said then.

There were reports that he might consider joining the BJP, which was looking for a candidate like Lakshminarayana who has fair knowledge of the political scams of Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The reports said the BJP might offer him MP seat from Guntur parliamentary constituency.

But now that he is planning to launch his own political outfit, it remains to be seen what his actual plans are.
