In a surprising announcement, Telugu Desam Party leader and Telangana Forum convener Erraballi Dayakar Rao on Monday said pressure was being mounted on him to join the Congress party.
“I am under pressure to join the Congress party, but how can I quit the TDP which gave me everything, including position? There is no question of leaving the TDP,” Erraballi declared addressing party’s brain-storming session.
Apparently, he is sending a clear signal to that he would not hesitate to join the Congress, if the TDP does not vote for Telangana Bill in Parliament.
“It is well if I win in the coming elections, otherwise I will take up agriculture,” he added.
Erraballi said influence of TRS was confined to only four districts and development done by TDP was visible in every village.
