The Congress party has been completely wiped out from Andhra Pradesh and it is a known fact that it can never get back its glory even after another two decades.
Perhaps that is the reason why the Congress leadership is trying to pamper YSR Congress party which has all the potential to come to power in the next elections.
Senior Congress leader and general secretary Digvijay Singh, who was in Tirupati on Wednesday, wished all the best to YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his proposed Maha Padayatra across the length and breadth of the state.
“His father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy was a great Congress leader. He had undertaken a massive padayatra in 2003 and brought the Congress back to power in 2004. Now, his son Jagan is planning to emulate his father and I wish his padayatra would also become a big success like that of his father,” Digvijay Singh said.
May be, the Congress general secretary is of the view that Jagan would come back to the Congress fold before 2019 elections and bring the Congress back to power.
It may be mentioned that in the past, too, Digvijay spoke very positively about Jagan, saying the latter had the Congress DNA in him. Is it not your wishful thinking, Mr Diggy?
