Defections pick up in YSRC, TDP

The Ayaram-Gayaram culture, which is quite common in almost all the political parties in the country during the election season, has now become the order of the day in Andhra Pradesh, with both ruling Telugu Desam Party and opposition YSR Congress party witnessing this not-so-unusual culture.

According to latest reports, YSRC is going to get the shot in the arm in Krishna district, with a senior Telugu Desam Party leader MVR Chowdary deciding to quit the ruling party to join YSR Congress Party.

According to reports, he is all set to switch his loyalties to the YSRCP on November 29.

MVR Chowdary along with his huge number of followers is expected to join the YSRCP in the presence of party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his padayatra, which is currently going on in Kurnool.

Sources in the TDP say that MVR Chowdary feels that he is not getting due importance in the Yellow party and he is uncertain about his political future. Thus, he decided to join the YSRCP.

On the other hand, YSRC MLA from Adoni Y Sai Prasad Reddy is all set to give shock to party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at a time when the latter is touring Kurnool district.

Sai Prasad gave enough indications that he might join the TDP shortly.

On Saturday, Sai Prasad praised the G+3 housing scheme of the TDP government taken up by the Chandrababu Naidu government. He complimented Naidu for launching the scheme.

At the same time, he criticised the Indiramma houses constructed during YSR's regime. He said the Indiramma houses were of very low construction quality and did not have the necessary amenities.

Another YSRC leader from Kurnool Turpu Linga Reddy also decided to join the TDP in a day or two. Already, YSRC MLA from Paderu Giddi Eshwari also gave enough hints that she would be joining the TDP.
