Chandrababu Naidu had formed a committee with five members comprising Devineni Uma, P Narayana, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Prathipati Pulla Rao and Ravela Kishore Babu.
The responsibility of this committee was to convince the farmers to part with their lands for the construction of the ‘capital’ city.
Of these five, Narayana and Ramakrishnudu are currently in Singapore with Naidu who instructed the other members to complete the job of convincing the farmers by the time he returns from Singapore. However, the members are not too keen on the assignment as they are not willing to face the irate farmers.
Reportedly, they are asking Tadikonda legislator, T Sravan Kumar to convince the farmers.
The TDP is also alleging that the farmers have been emboldened by the support being extended by the YSRCP, an allegation denied by the latter.
YSRCP said that it was not against the construction of the new capital but the apprehensions of the farmers had to be suitably addressed first.
