BJP Leaders Fail To Pacify Nagam

Following the reports that former minister and senior leader from Mahbubnagar Nagam Janardhan Reddy might take a plunge into the Congress party, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have started trying to pacify him to stay back in the party.

Telangana BJP president Dr Laxman is learnt to have sent some party seniors to Nagam to convince him to stay put in the BJP and assure him of a respectable position in the party. They told him that his political interests would be taken care of and if necessary, he could even contest the Lok Sabha elections next time.

However, Nagam told them that he was not happy in the BJP.

“In any case, I am not going to disclose my future plans till Ugadi. Let me make up my mind and come out with a decision at an appropriate time,” he said.

Nagam told the media categorically the other day that he was not going to continue in the BJP.

“I have faced severe humiliation in the party. Though I have nearly four decades of experience in politics, the BJP leadership did not give me due respect even as an ordinary party workers,” he alleged.

He declared that the forthcoming assembly elections in 2019 would be his last elections and if he did not win the elections, he would retire from politics.
