Two thieves had an argument and went before a judge. Said one thief, "This man is accusing me of stealing Rs 1000 worth of valuables. But, did he also not steal Rs 1000? So, he has no moral right to accuse me. Please declare who of us is the better person."
In the game of comparisons, what either of the thieves has failed to realize is that their vocation in itself is intrinsically wrong. This is exactly the counter-strategy being adopted by Venkayya Naidu for the monsoon session of Parliament.
The BJP is expected to come under vehement attack over the Lalit Modi issue, the Vyapam murders, the land acquisition bill etc. and Venkayya has instructed his Party MP’S to attack the opposition over the solar scam, and US Bribes scam in Kerala, Assam government scam and the Uttaranchal scam. All these states are ruled by the Congress.
Does Venkayya Naidu think that his Party is entitled to corruption because the other parties are doing it too?
If the Congress has no moral responsibility to criticize the NDA, does it indicate a mandate to the NDA to indulge in the same?
