Strange as it might sound, real estate dealers in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in the central coastal Andhra, treat Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as a god, who made their lives for next few generations.
A real estate dealer from Guntur district is understood to have told some media persons that they were immensely thankful to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief for fighting for the separate state and achieving the statehood for Telangana.
“Initially, we were all angry with KCR for being responsible for the division of Andhra Pradesh. But now, we realise that he has done immensely good for us.
Most of the real estate dealers in Vijayawada and Guntur areas turned millionaires overnight due to shooting up of land value in Amaravati area.
We never expected that our lands would fetch so much, when the state was united,” a dealer reportedly told some journalists.
Sources said for the last two years, the real estate dealers have been celebrating KCR’s birthday in April and organise a grand party on the occasion, of course all in secrecy.
“May be, they also send cash bags to the TRS leaders, who knows?” a journalist observed.
