Congress Nalgonda MLA, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has been issued a notice by the High Court in response to a petition filed against him.
Komatireddy had declared in his affidavit during the elections that he was an engineering graduate.
However, the petitioner said that Komatireddy had not completed his graduation and for this reason his election should be deemed illegal on grounds of falsification of information.
This move would surely emerge as a worry to Komatireddy and the Congress Party for they have a very small number in the Assembly and if Komatireddy gets into trouble over this issue, it would do the Party no further good.
Incidentally, the petition was filed by TRS candidate, Dubaka Narasimha Reddy who lost to Komatireddy in the recent elections!
