In a significant development in the case related to the murder of former minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Y S Vivekananda Reddy, the Central Bureau of Investigation, which has been probing the case, declared that the investigation has been completed.

During a hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday over a petition filed by YSR Congress party leader and Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy seeking anticipatory bail in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case, the CBI informed the bench that its investigation in the case has been completed.

Presenting its arguments before the court, the CBI made it clear to the Supreme Court that there was nothing left to be investigated in the case from their end.

However, the agency assured the court that if it gives any further directions on the continuation of probe, it will comply the directions accordingly.

The case was heard before a bench headed by Justice M M Sundresh. Since the senior counsel representing Viveka’s daughter, Sunitha, was attending another court, the junior lawyer requested a pass-over of the hearing.
