Tirumala Laddu Row: YSRCP Drops Bombshell

Tirumala Laddu Row: YSRCP Drops Bombshell

The YSR Congress Party on Wednesday accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of turning the State Assembly into a platform for falsehoods and blatant lies to mislead the public.

Speaking to reporters, YSRCP MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar alleged that Chandrababu Naidu, along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and minister Nara Lokesh, had misled the House with baseless claims while avoiding serious questions related to the Tirumala laddu controversy, alleged Heritage–Indapur links, and irregularities in ghee tenders.

Chandrasekhar described the Chief Minister as an “emperor of lies,” accusing him of making reckless and unsubstantiated allegations in the Assembly over the Tirumala laddu issue without evidence or genuine devotion.

He alleged that the adulteration controversy was a deliberately manufactured narrative aimed at facilitating financial gains through dairy contracts.

He questioned how the price of ghee rose sharply from ₹321 per kg to ₹658 per kg, and why tender conditions were diluted to favour Indapur—allegedly linked to Heritage—despite an 800-kilometre eligibility rule.

He also questioned why a company supplying ghee at ₹560 per litre in Hyderabad was awarded large contracts at ₹658 per kg for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Chandrasekhar claimed that once the “dairy thread” was pulled, links connecting Heritage, Indapur, Bhole Baba, Sangam Dairy, and Vaishnavi Dairy began to surface.

He asked how tankers earlier rejected on quality grounds were allowed back into Tirumala two months later and used in laddu preparation.

The YSRCP MLA demanded answers on why multiple TTD Executive Officers were transferred during the controversy and why Heritage allegedly altered references to Indapur as its manufacturing unit on its website after the issue came to light.

He also questioned the sudden removal of certain names and images from company websites and dairy premises, suggesting attempts to erase evidence.

Chandrasekhar said the CBI-SIT had clearly stated that no animal fat, fish oil, or pig fat was found in the ghee. Despite this, he accused Chandrababu Naidu of repeatedly making the allegation by selectively quoting the NDDB report while ignoring its disclaimers.

He demanded that the Chief Minister apologise at the feet of Lord Venkateswara for hurting the sentiments of millions of devotees.

He alleged that Chandrababu was using religion as a political weapon because he could not politically counter YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Responding to claims that Heritage never supplied ghee to temples or government institutions, Chandrasekhar cited Heritage’s own statements acknowledging participation in tenders between 2014 and 2019, as well as ghee bids for TTD during 2002–2004 at prices ranging from ₹113 to ₹117 per kg.
