Threat to Botsa, not from Naidu, but from Jagan!

Senior YSR Congress party leader and opposition Leader in the Andhra Pradesh state legislative council Botsa Satyanarayana’s allegation that there was a threat to his life from the Chandrababu Naidu government has kicked up a political debate in the state.

The controversy erupted after a stage collapse incident during the Pydithalli Ammavari Jatara in Vizianagaram, where Botsa narrowly escaped injury.

Expressing anger, he accused officials of deliberate negligence and even alleged that the mishap was part of a conspiracy to eliminate him.

His accusations that the coalition government failed to provide proper protocol and security drew strong rebuttals from the Telugu Desam Party.

Reacting sharply, TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao dismissed Botsa’s claims as baseless.

“There is no threat to him from the ruling coalition. If there is any threat, it is from within his own party. We have all respect and regard for Botsa. Maybe, Botsa’s growing assertiveness in the council may have displeased YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, leading to internal friction,” Palla said.

He said chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu would ensure Botsa’s safety if he genuinely sought protection.
