Senior leaders from the party including MLC Buddha Venkanna and K Nagul Meera have turned against Kesineni.

On Saturday, the MP saw yet another protest from his own party leaders.
Former corporator Kotteti Hanumantha Rao led his supporters from his 34th division to hold a protest at Kesineni’s office.
They alleged that the MP had denied a ticket to Hanumantha Rao’s wife at the last minute.
Hanumantha Rao had been in the party for the past 25 years and the denial of ticket at this stage is unjust.
It is to be seen how Kesineni would handle the situation, particularly rivals to his leadership, once the elections are completed.
