Yet another leakage of an audio tape, allegedly involving former Andhra Pradesh minister and YSR Congress party leader from Visakhapatnam Muttamsetty Srinivas Rao alias Avanti Srinivas landed him in embarrassment.
The audio tape had a conversation alleged between Avanti and another woman, in which he was saying “Love You Darling and Love You Bangaram” with her.
The tape went viral in the social media and needless to say, the Telugu Desam Party leaders have started using it to deride the former minister. A couple of electronic media channels close to the TDP also telecast the same.
Avanti did not lose much time in complaining to the cybercrime police. Based on a complaint given by his personal assistant, the Cybercrime police swung into action and started probing from where the tape had originated.
“Some forces are behind the release of this audio tape to damage by reputation and my political future. Somebody has mimicked my voice deliberately. I brought it to the notice of the police,” Avanti said.
He pointed out that he had been in Ayyappa deeksha and hence, was maintaining a lot of restraint.
“But I will file defamation suit against such miscreants doing false propaganda,” he warned.
The police said a case would be booked after taking the legal opinion. It will take some time to identify the real culprits, the police added.
