Purandheswari Is More A TDP Leader Than BJP

Andhra Pradesh BJP unit president Daggubati Purandheswari is increasingly resembling a TDP leader rather than the BJP president of the state unit.

Lately, she has been speaking in favor of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his party. Her statements indicate her desire to assist the TDP in winning the upcoming elections.

On Saturday, she wrote a letter to Supreme Court Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, urging him to cancel the bail granted to YSR CP MP V Vijayasai Reddy.

Purandheswari alleged that Vijayasai Reddy was blackmailing people, threatening some, and engaging in unlawful activities.

She also claimed that Vijayasai Reddy owned unauthorized liquor distilleries in the state, leading to illegal liquor sales.

Purandheswari reminded the chief justice that she had previously written a letter to the Central government, requesting an investigation into the liquor trade in Andhra Pradesh.

Despite serving as the BJP state unit president, Purandheswari's actions reflect her loyalty to the TDP. It remains to be seen if the BJP national leadership will accept her alignment with the TDP in the state.
