Pawan Kalyan Gave Tea To Vangaveeti Ranga?

During the "10 years of Janasena" event held in Machilipatnam, Pawan Kalyan, who has always spoken out against the caste system, made a statement that if given power, he would strive to make all caste leaders function properly.

He also mentioned that he knew Vangaveeti Ranga since childhood.

In this context, he said, "I have known Vangaveeti Ranga since childhood. He came to our house, and I gave him tea. I understand that he is like a God to Kapus. But why did the Kapus of Machilipatnam, Pamarru, and Gudivada not go and save him when he was dying..."

However, it is unclear why he posed this question, as it is unknown whether the Kapus had any information about Ranga's impending death on that particular date in 1988. It is possible that Pawan is pointing out the lack of unity among the Kapus, or he is expressing his fear that no one would come to his aid if someone attacked him. Nevertheless, this remains unclear.

Moving on, Pawan also mentioned that Vangaveeti Ranga, a Kapu, and Ratnakumari, a Kamma, married each other and led a happy life. Pawan implies that a marriage between TDP and Janasena should also be like this.

He implied that all Kapus should merge with Kammas as they cannot fight as a single caste. During Vangaveeti Ranga's time and later, some Kapu leaders wished to see Kapus, Telagas, Balijas, and Ontaris as one common group, resulting in their combined population representing about 20% in Andhra Pradesh. However, they never came to power as these communities continued to fight among themselves due to differences. Pawan Kalyan is now attempting to merge Kapus and Kammas, who are arch-rivals in the Krishna-Guntur district politics.

Like in any other meeting, Pawan continued to talk about castes in his speech.
