Mithun Reddy dares Pawan Kalyan to prove charges

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) strongly countered Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan’s allegations that senior YSRCP leader and former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy’s family had encroached upon forest land in Chittoor district.

“Details of the said land are a publicly available document. Anyone can access that. Please go through them first. Inquiries have been conducted and proved that there are no illegal things,” Peddireddy’s son and Rajampet MP Peddireddy Mithun Reddy said in his post on X.

The YSRCP also posted a detailed statement on social media, accusing Pawan Kalyan of fabricating stories to divert public attention and challenging him to substantiate a single allegation.

YSRCP said the ruling coalition, led by chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, had been in power for 18 months with full access to all government files.

“Despite being in power for a year and a half, they haven’t proven even one allegation. Old and baseless charges are being repackaged with a ‘cinematic twist’ to mislead people,” the party alleged.

In response to allegations of land-grabbing, the YSRCP released multiple sale deed details, stating that members of the Peddireddy family had legitimately purchased lands between 2000 and 2001.

The party asked Pawan Kalyan whether he could dispute these recorded documents.

The party said the total extent purchased by the family was 75.74 acres and challenged Pawan Kalyan to refute any of the figures or documents.

It also asserted that the lands in question were not forest lands, as alleged, but privately held patta lands.

The Director of Survey, Settlement and Land Records had recognized these lands as patta lands in a detailed judgment delivered in 1981 and they were declared patta lands since 1966, the party said.

The YSRCP accused the TDP–Jana Sena government of using diversion tactics to hide its failures.

“From the day they came to power, they have been spreading mud instead of governance. Committees were set up, inquiries were conducted repeatedly — yet they could not prove even a single allegation.”

Reiterating their challenge, the YSRCP demanded that Pawan Kalyan publicly prove that any of the documents or historical records were false.

“We challenge Pawan Kalyan to show that these facts are untrue,” the party declared, maintaining that the allegations against the Peddireddy family were politically motivated and entirely baseless.
