Leakage Narayana manages to get relief from SC

Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former minister Ponguru Narayana on Friday managed to get relief from the Supreme Court the 10th Class examination question paper leakage case in his Narayana group of institutions.

A division bench of the Supreme Court comprising Ravindra Bhat and Dipankar Dutta, which was hearing a review petition of Narayana, granted a stay on the remand order given by the state high court.

While issuing notices to the Jagan Mohan Reddy government to file a counter, the Supreme Court bench said Narayana could not be arrested but allowed him to be on bail till the hearing is completed.

Earlier, the state high court cancelled the bail granted to Narayana by a Chittoor court and asked him to surrender before November 30. The high court rejected Narayana’s petition to quash the case against him.

It also rejected his argument that the revision petition filed by the Crime Investigation Department of the Andhra police has no eligibility.

The high court issued directions to the Chittoor sessions court to take up fresh hearing in the case and take a decision.
