Kodali calls Nimmagadda shameless, mindless

Known for his foul-mouth character, YSR Congress party leader and Andhra Pradesh civil supplies minister Kodali Venkateshwar Rao alias Nani on Wednesday once again lashed out at state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar for announcing the conduct of local body elections in February.

“Nimmagadda, who is supposed to be a Constitutional authority, is behaving shamelessly and has decided to conduct elections to local bodies based on the letter written by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu,” Nani alleged.

Stating that the government was not ready to conduct the elections to the local bodies, the minister said the government employees were not at all ready to take part in the electioneering because of Covid-19 situation.

“Nimmagadda doesn’t have faith on the democratically-elected governments and constitutional institutions. He is playing “chillar” politics though he is in such a respectable post. He has to behave himself and keep quiet till his retirement,” Nani said.

He also said it was not correct to hold the elections through ballot paper method under these circumstances. “He has no brains though he has grown old. It is mindless to conduct elections when the Covid-19 situation is very serious,” he criticised.

He warned that the government would not keep quiet, if “agnathavasi” Nimmagadda and “zoom babu” take decisions on conducting elections while sitting in Hyderabad.
