Jagan to make maximum use of last budget session!

Jagan to make maximum use of last budget session!

The budget session of the Andhra Pradesh state assembly will begin on Monday. This is going to be the last session of the assembly in its present term, before it goes to polls in April.

The Jagan Mohan Reddy government will present its vote-on-account budget during the session; which is aimed at spending money only for a short period. A full-fledged budget would be introduced only after the formation of new government after the April elections.

Needless to say, Jagan will make maximum use of this last assembly session, not only to highlight the achievements of his government in the last five years, but also to announce some more welfare schemes to attract the people ahead of the assembly elections.

The government’s welfare agenda and the achievements in the last five years would reflect in the speech of Governor S Abdul Nazeer, who will address the joint session of the assembly and legislative council on the first day.

The Business Advisory Committee of the assembly would decide how many days the session should be held and the business of the house, including the presentation of the vote on account budget.

It is likely to be a short assembly session, as it is only a vote on account budget and there are not many bills to be passed. In any case, the TDP members will try to create ruckus and get suspended; so, Jagan will have ample time to tell what he wants to convey to the people.
