Bhagyashree Borse is an actress who effortlessly combines beauty with talent. She made her Telugu debut with Mr. Bachchan, a film set against a period backdrop.
The movie showcased her grace and screen presence through its songs, making her an instant favorite even before the film’s release. Unfortunately, the film failed miserably at the box office.
She was next seen in Kingdom, another period drama starring Vijay Deverakonda. Her role was very limited, giving her little scope to display her abilities, and this film too ended up as a box-office failure.
Her next project was Kaantha, yet another period drama set in the 1950s, where she was paired with Dulquer Salmaan.
The film offered her ample scope to perform in varied shades, and she delivered her role convincingly. However, luck once again did not favor her, as Kaantha also underperformed at the box office.
The common thread running through her career so far is her association with period films, complete with vintage makeup and costumes. All three of her consecutive period-backdrop films have failed commercially.
Now, she is gearing up for Andhra King Taluka, yet another period film, releasing on November 27. Let’s hope this project finally brings her the success she deserves and makes her part of a hit venture.
