NTR lost in both ways by choosing War 2. The Bollywood audience and Hrithik’s fans are trolling him, saying the film failed only because of his presence.
The Telugu audience is criticizing it, stating that it is not in the format they like.
Making a “Pan-India” movie just by deciding to make one will backfire. Take Pushpa, Kantara, or KGF; they were intended as local films but attained a Pan India image by their own merit. They were deeply rooted in their local flavor.
War 2 is not like that. It has no rooted cultural flavor and moreover, it is made in a superhero film style.
We can understand if it were Superman or Spiderman doing such over the top, incredible stunts like fighting on a flying airplane above the clouds, or battling on a running train with a car on it. But here, all such stunts are done by RAW agents, which ended up creating trolls instead of giving audiences an adrenaline rush.
It looks like it's the choice of NTR to work in this film resulted in all this.
