Top 5: Vijay Deverakonda Bounces Back in Style

1) Taxiwala: Vijay Deverakonda continues to impress the business circles with another blockbuster to his name.

Taxiwala that released with low pre release buzz turned out to be a massive profit venture for its makers.

Taxiwala collected around Rs. 18 crore by the end of its second weekend. It continued to dominate the box office in its second weekend as the new releases turned out to be a disappointment.

Taxiwala is set to earn three times its making cost from the theatricals alone.

2) 24 Kisses: This is another attempt to cash in on the ongoing ‘youth cinema’ trend. But 24 Kisses turned out to be a pointless film that neither relies on the adult content nor a social message.

It is a mix of both and the cocktail leaves its audience with a bitter experience.

Its high time Telugu filmmakers to realize that titillating promos itself won’t help a film click at the box office.

3) Rangu: Forgotten actor Tanish hoped to make a strong comeback with Rangu, based on real life characters.

The film has got better talk compared to other new releases, but couldn’t pull audience to the theaters due to poor promotions and weak star cast.

4) Sarkar: Vijay finally scores a hit in Telugu with Sarkar, which has made the most of Diwali weekend and has put up a steady show since then.

It is a blockbuster in Tamil thus putting Murugadoss back in the reckoning after his forgettable Spyder.

5) Amar Akbar Anthony: Raviteja scores a rare hat-trick of disasters in a year. His market value took a beating after the dismal show of Amar Akbar Anthony, which ranks up there among the biggest flops of the year.
