Top 5: Stage Set For Bhaagamathie Storm

A couple of low budget movies had seen light on Friday, but couldn’t even take off a decent start.

Sankranthi films had another weekend to cash in on, however they couldn’t do much as they lacked the power to capitalize.

Stage is set for Anushka’s Bhaagamathie that is arriving on Jan 26. The film is sure going to take a thunderous opening as it is already trending on top in Bookmyshow and other online ticketing websites.

1) Gang: As expected Gang took the lead in the second weekend as other Sankranthi movies slowed down considerably. More screens were added for Gang and it is going to be a safe venture in Telugu.

Although it is not anywhere close to Suriya’s big hits, it is a bit of a breather for the Tamil star who has been struggling to reclaim his market in Telugu lately.

2) Jai Simha: Jai Simha’s mass friendly content paid off in B and C centers where the film performed better. However, the outdated stuff restricted its chances to become a big hit in spite of the weak opposition.

It is a successful film for all the parties involved, but not even close to Balakrishna’s previous Sankranthi blockbusters.

3) Agnyaathavaasi: It turned out to be a nightmare for everyone. Many buyers have lost more than sixty percent of their investment and the film is already running on nett-free in many centers. So the business of Agnyathavaasi has officially come to a close on Sunday.

After taking a rollicking start on day 1, the film couldn’t even collect half of its first day tally in its full run.

4) Rangula Ratnam: Another disappointment for Nagarjuna and Annapurna Studios.

Trade expected the film to become a surprise hit, but the overdose sentimental drama is not in tune with the mood of the festival audience.

It is one of the biggest flops in Raj Tarun’s career.

5) Jumanji: The Hollywood action adventure is still doing well across the multiplexes in weekends.

It couldn’t make a mark in single screens, but drawing good number of audience during weekends, thanks to its kids friendly setup and well executed comedy scenes.
