Top 5: NOTA Crashes After A Solid Start

Top 5: NOTA Crashes After A Solid Start

1) NOTA: Vijay Deverakonda’s political drama NOTA opened on a solid note on Friday. It has registered the best opening in recent times after Geetha Govindam.

However, weak content started showing its effect from day 2 itself. NOTA crashed on Saturday and did okay on Sunday, but buyers are surely staring at losses as it would struggle to hold during the week days.

Vijay should stick to youthful and family entertainers to cash in on his rising popularity.

2) Devadas: Devadas had a decent second Sunday at box office. Thanks to NOTA’s disastrous result, Devadas was able to register decent collections in its second weekend.

However, its performance during week days has been a worrying sign. It still needs to go a long way to be a safe venture for its buyers.

3) Venom: Tom Hardy’s superhero film Venom opened on a decent note across the nation. The response has been mixed but it had a pretty decent first weekend on the whole.

4) Andhadhun: Sriram Raghavan’s latest thriller had a pretty ordinary start but picked up from Friday evening. The film has been receiving thumping response from all corners.

It ran to packed houses in Hyderabad on Saturday and Sunday.

5) Bhale Manchi Chowka Beram: This low budget film backed by director Maruthi had no takers at box office. It had a dismal first weekend and is heading for a failure.
