Top 5: A Huge Disaster For Akhil

Top 5: A Huge Disaster For Akhil

1. Virupaksha: In spite of being a horror movie, this film has emerged as a season's favorite, garnering positive reviews and remarkable collections, even in the second week after its release.

It has secured the top position in the box office, which is a testament to its success.

Sai Dharam Tej's fans have particularly enjoyed this genre, further contributing to the movie's success.

While the upcoming weekdays will be a test for the film, the ongoing summer season presents an opportune time for it to perform well.

The movie's makers have announced that it has grossed an impressive Rs. 70 Cr so far.

2. Ponniyan Selvan- 2: This epic creation by Mani Ratnam garnered attention, respect, and interest from the audience.

The film's opening was impressive, and the response was positive, especially when compared to the first part. However, it appealed more to history enthusiasts and those who enjoy grandeur on screen with a star-studded cast.

Although the content could not captivate the audience as much as other films in this genre, it managed to generate enough interest but failed to secure the top spot at the box office this week.

3. Agent: This film starring Akhil Akkineni in the lead, directed by Surender Reddy, came with high expectations but unfortunately failed miserably.

Although the initial opening was decent, the negative word-of-mouth ruined the film's prospects. The feedback from all centers has been unanimously negative and the film was declared a disaster on its opening day itself.

The collections have plummeted and the weekday run of the film is expected to be even worse.

4. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan: The film's collections were disappointingly low, resulting in it being deemed a flop. It is a remake of the Tamil film "Veeram," which was subsequently remade in Telugu as "Katamarayudu."

The movie has failed to resonate with audiences in any center, which has come as a shock to the makers, especially considering Salman's film released during Eid.

As the second week came to a close, the film appeared to be losing steam and on the verge of wrapping up its full run.

5 Dasara: The film's ability to draw in some collections persisted even after five weekends, albeit not significant.

While it failed to impress audiences in North India and other language markets, in Telugu, it emerged as a good success.

Nani's attempt to craft a rustic and unsophisticated film proved to be a winner at the box office.
