Telangana Shankar gets 10 acres for studio!

N Shankar, one of the popular film director from Telangana, has finally got the reward for his unusual patience and loyalty to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday has approved the proposal to allot 10 acres of land to Shankar for setting up a television and film studio to promote Telangana films and culture.

He has directed the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation to identify the suitable piece of land at four places – Fab City, Khanamet, Puppalguda and Nanakramguda, where government land is available.

The chief minister is learnt to have directed his son and IT minister K T Rama Rao to take up the responsibility of identifying and allotting the land to the studio proposed to be set up by Shankar.

“Finally, Shankar’s patience has paid off. It is a happy time for him,” sources close to him said.

Shankar’s film “Jai Bolo Telangana” brought a lot of popular support to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi before 2014.

After the Telangana government is formed, Shankar has been pursuing the issue of setting up of the TV and film studio in Hyderabad.
