Small Films To Make Merry This Week

Small Films To Make Merry This Week

It is known that Sailaja Reddy Alludu has been postponed. And it is two weeks since Geeta Govindam has hit the screens. So, the Telugu audience are already waiting for something new.

This week will see the release of 5 new films. It has been proven in recent times that small films go well with audiences during lean phases, especially if they have good content.

Naga Shourya's Nartanasala will hit the screens on August 30. The film has had good pre-release hype and the trailers look funny enough.

Since Chalo made on Naga Shourya's home banner was a hit, the audience is looking forward to Nartanasala.

The film has done good business and the makers have also sold the satellite rights. So, the film will enter the theatres in safe zone. However, it remains to be seen if the film will be a hit or miss.

One day after the release of Nartanasala, four films will hit the screen of which two films happen to be straight films and two dubbing films.

Of the two straight films, Paper Boy has managed to create some buzz. With the likes of Mahesh and Prabhas praising the trailers, the film could attract some audiences at least on day 1. The other film Sameeram has barely been heard till now.

In the dubbing films, there is Nayanatara's CocoKokila and Crime 23. Kokokokila which released as Kolamavu Kokila in Tamil has done good business there. On the other hand, there is Arun Vijay's Crime 23.

So, it remains to be seen which film will hit the jackpot this weekend. Else, Geeta Govindam will have another week of good run.
