Richa Chadha plays the role of Shakeela who was popular star in the late 90's and early 2000's and has acted in several controversial and bold films in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages.
Pankaj Tripathi plays a south star who at first behaves politely with Shakeela but later turns against her after getting threatened by her success.
The trailer showcases the story of Shakeela, the criticism she had to face and insults from the film fraternity, who wanted to get her films banned.

Shakeela is filmed in Hindi and being dubbed in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
The film was released in north yesterday and UFO Moviez will release it in Telugu states on January 1st.
