When someone asked Nagarjuna if he wants his sons to get involved in the production activities and supervise the finances for films produced by Annapurna Studios, he said that it is not the right time for them to get into such things.
“I would like them to concentrate upon their acting careers first. They can learn a thing or two about pre production and post production, but I don’t think it is a nice idea for any young actor to get involved in such burdensome activities,” Nag said.
Despite owning a studio Nag wants both his sons to stay away from production for a while.
On the other hand, Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan is getting serious about his production plans.
After launching his banner successfully with Khaidi No. 150, Charan is now planning a high budget multilingual project Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy with his father.
Although Charan is currently one of the big stars in Telugu cinema, he cannot get complacent as the competition is getting tougher at the top.
Charan cannot afford to get smug about his acting career because besides Magadheera, he doesn’t have anything phenomenal in his repertoire. It has been ten years since he made debut and he is yet to appeal to the wider audience.
While every actor is trying to expand his market and been setting interesting combinations for the upcoming films, Charan is working on reviving his father’s career which would anyway doesn’t last more than a couple of years!
Even fans are feeling that he is heading in the wrong direction at the moment.
