Rajamouli's Hanuman Remarks Spark Reactions

Rajamouli's Hanuman Remarks Spark Reactions

The Varanasi title glimpses event for the Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli film was held in a grand way. A giant LED screen was arranged for the video clip and it needed many generators to run.

Due to technical issues the screening was delayed which made Rajamouli visibly upset.

His remarks about Hanuman during this tense moment quickly went viral and drew strong reactions from netizens and Hindu groups.

Writer Vijayendra Prasad said Mahesh worked hard for the film and added that some films are made by people while some are made with divine support. He said Hanuman is always in Rajamouli’s heart.

But when the glitches continued Rajamouli said he does not strongly believe in God and questioned why Hanuman did not help if he was truly guiding him.

These comments hurt the sentiments of many devotees who felt it was wrong to blame God for technical failures.

They questioned how success is claimed by humans and failure is pushed toward God. Some netizens openly criticised Rajamouli for speaking this way on a public stage.

"Everything is fine, but what is the link between technical issues and Hanuman? You say you like the Ramayana but then say you do not believe in Lord Rama. It is like a sweet shop owner saying he does not like sweets but sells them because customers buy them. That is how it sounds, sir. Keep your beliefs or non-beliefs as your personal opinions, no problem. But as a legendary director, such words on a public platform are not good. Crores of Hindus watched your films and made them hits, so at least respect their feelings", a netizen mentioned addressing Rajamouli.

Another netizen wrote, "Rajamouli does not believe in God and why does he take the name of Hanuman wrongly?"
