Popular folk and film playback singer Mangli’s birthday celebration turned controversial after a police raid disrupted the festivities at Tripura Resort in Chevella.
The singer had organized a lavish party on the occasion of her birthday, inviting several friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
The celebrations took an unexpected turn when local police conducted a surprise raid at the venue on reports of unauthorized alcohol consumption.
During the operation, a significant quantity of foreign liquor was seized, allegedly being served without proper permits.
It is also stated that some marijuana (ganja) was discovered at the party while someone was consuming it.
Some Jabardasth actors and lyricists are also present at the party, along with some other film technicians. They are also being investigated, as per reports. A case has been booked against Mangli in this regard.
Authorities are investigating the matter to determine whether any legal violations occurred.
Meanwhile, sources close to Mangli stated that the singer was unaware of any illegal activity with regard to liquor and had simply intended to celebrate with friends.
The incident has sparked discussions on celebrity parties and adherence to local regulations, drawing public and media attention across Telangana.
