October Box Office Review: Hits and Misses

October Box Office Review: Hits and Misses

"Idly Kottu", starring Dhanush, was dubbed into Telugu and released on October 1st. However, the film turned out to be a damp squib, failing to attract both audiences and critics alike.

'Kantara Chapter 1' is another one from Kannada film industry which proved to be a blockbuster.

Overall, the first week of October saw the release of several small films like Ari, Constable, Mutton Shop, and Sasivadane, but all went largely unnoticed, receiving almost zero attention from the public.

The real buzz at the box office began in mid-October, when a series of notable films hit theaters in quick succession.

"Mithra Mandali", starring Priyadarshi and Niharika NM, attempted to attract the youth with its farcical comedy, but it ended up as a flop.

The next day saw the release of "Telusu Kadaa", featuring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Raashi Khanna, a triangular love story that also failed to impress.

In contrast, the Tamil-to-Telugu dubbed film "Dude", starring Pradeep Ranganathan, performed well at the box office. "K-Ramp" from Kiran Abbavaram also managed to score decent numbers and received a positive response.

The third week featured just one release, "Vidrohi", which too went unnoticed.

Finally, the last two days of the month saw the releases of "Baahubali: The Epic" (a re-release) and "Mass Jathara".

While Baahubali: The Epic offered nothing new in terms of experience, it still attracted its usual small fan base that supports re-releases. On the other hand, "Mass Jathara", starring Ravi Teja, received negative talk unanimously.

In conclusion, October proved to be a dull month for Tollywood, with many misses and only three hits 'Kantara Chapter 1', "Dude" and "K-Ramp".
