Nani Is A Self-made Person: Ritu Varma

Telugu girl Ritu Varma has acted alongside Nani for the second time for Tuck Jagadish which is up for release on Amazon Prime on 10th of this month.

“It’s my second film with Nani. My role was very limited in Yevade Subrahmanyam. There was not much interaction between us. I was very new and young as an actor. This time, I got time to spend with Nani. Nani has lots of knowledge about cinema and about life, in general. I got to know more about him as a person. He is very supportive and encouraging.

Nani is a self-made man. His graph is only growing up. He wants to give something different with each film. I always like him as an actor and I like his choice of films.”

Ritu Varma has done mostly urban girl kind of roles and Tuck Jagadish is her first film as a village girl.

“For the first time, I acted in a proper commercial film. I played a village girl and my character name is Gummadi Varalakshi. She is very authoritative as she’s govt official as VRO.”

Ritu Varma affirms she is not entirely disappointed, though she misses the experience of watching the film in theatres.

“Tuck Jagadish is a proper theatre film. The big screen experience will be something else. Current situations are very different. Keeping that in mind, producers have taken the decision.”

She says she didn’t get the films she wanted to do, post Pelli Choopulu.

“I only do films that interests me. I’m very happy with the kind of films I’m doing.”

The actress sings praises on her director.

“Although it’s commercial film, it has real emotions. Shiva Nirvana prefers settled acting and there won’t be any over dramatic scenes. Every character is unique and every character will stand out.”

Ritu says she has no qualms in doing glamor roles, adding, “I’m looking forward to do all kind of roles.”
