'My Comment On Jagan Was Projected In A Wrong Way'

Producer Naga Vamsi has been making small to high range movies under his Sithara Entertainments and his latest production DJ Tillu is releasing today.

The producer in his exclusive interview with greatandhra.com revealed about his ongoing and future projects.

It is known that; Trivikram Srinivas is like a mentor for the production banner and his involvement is there for all the movies.

“After making mistakes like Ranarangam, what we thought was we should go ahead only if we three okay a script. First, I listen to story, I’ll send it to Babai if I like it. Then, Trivikram will listen to it and he’s the decision maker.

However, we don’t disturb directors during making of movies. We give complete freedom to them. Then, Trivikram will watch movies on editing table and if needed we go for re-shoots.

Coming to DJ Tillu, when we watched the movie, after its shoot was done except for couple of songs, we were not satisfied with some of the blocks. Trivikram gave his suggestions. So, we re-shot those portions.”

The producer who earlier used to make high budget entertainers is presently making few small-time movies.

“We heard few stories during covid break and started 3 small-time movies since March 2020. We also started Bheemla Nayak with Pawan Kalyan, during the same time and it’s a life time opportunity for Sithara.”

Naga Vamsi says Pawan Kalyan used to give him some advices like how to handle different situations. “It was Kalyan garu who took the decision to postpone Bheemla Nayak, as to give space for Pan India movies.

The producer actually started the trend of reimbursing losses to producer, if a film flops at box office and now many production houses are following it. They also have set of buyers for the banner.

The production house is spending good budgets on small movies as well. “The reputation of banner is very important; thus, we don’t compromise on quality of any movie. We brought Thaman in the last minute to score BGM for DJ Tillu.”

The producer who says making remakes is a tough task is presently making few remakes including Bheemla Nayak.

“I liked Ayyappanum Koshiyum when I watched it on OTT. I immediately called to Trivikram and asked him to watch it. Trivikram okayed just after watching first half of the movie. You’ll see many elements which you haven’t seen in original, though we used the same plotline. You are going to see Nata Vishwaroopam of Kalyan.

We already released few teasers and 3 songs. So, there will be no other teaser and we’ll only release theatrical trailer. If everything is okay, we’ll release the movie for Maha Shivaratri.”

Naga Vamsi’s comments on AP Cm Jagan went viral on social media. Clarifying on the same, he said, “My intention was to say that, whenever the covid situation comes to normalcy and when the govt removes all the restrictions, we will decide on release date of Bheemla Nayak. But it was projected in a wrong way.”

Sithara Entertainments is presently making a bilingual Sir with Dhanush and they are also making a film Anaganaga Oka Raju with Naveen Polisetty. They also lined up a film with Mahesh Babu under Trivikram’s direction.

“We want to make another film with Kalyan garu, if he gives us another chance. We have plans to make a film with Bunny. I’m also willing to make a film with Charan. It would most probably with Trivikram.

We didn’t shelve NTR’s film. We are planning a big Pan India project with Tarak. We will divulge more details soon. It’s going to be one of the biggest projects in India. Trivikram will direct it.”

The producer further says Bheemla Nayak will have Pan India release.

“It will have parallel release in Hindi. You don’t remember Ayyappanum when you watch it. You’ll witness Trivikram’s magic.”
