Today, the trailer of Deva Katta’s Mayasabha was released. The political drama is a Sony LIV Original and will start streaming from August 7.
As the earlier teaser suggested, Mayasabha is a fictionalized narrative based on real political figures, reimagined with alternate names.
The story traces the rise of two close friends—loosely modeled after Chandrababu Naidu and Y S Rajasekhara Reddy — who eventually become political adversaries.
Aadhi Pinisetty plays Krishnama Naidu, a character inspired by Chandrababu Naidu. Chaitanya Rao Madadi portrays MS Rami Reddy, modeled on YSR, while Sai Kumar steps into a role resembling that of N.T. Rama Rao.
The trailer leans more toward cinematic dramatization than grounded realism. Instead of gripping political intensity, it offers a stylized, fictional account that feels familiar in its “biopic-style” storytelling.
Mayasabha boasts a strong ensemble cast including Sai Kumar, Divya Dutta, Ravindra Vijay, Srikanth Iyengar, Nassar, Shatru, Tanya Ravichandran, and Charitha Varma.
Produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni and Sree Harsha, the series features music by Shaktikanth Karthik and visuals by cinematographer Suresh Ragutu.
While the trailer doesn’t offer much that stands out, the real test will come when the series begins streaming on August 7.
