Nithin's upcoming film Rang De is all set to resume its shoot shortly.
OTT streaming services are vying for the direct to digital release rights of this film. However, the makers are not in a hurry to seal the deal.
If the buzz is to be believed, Zee 5 has been trying to bag the entire digital, theatrical and non-theatrical rights of Rang De.
Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi has reportedly quoted Rs 40 Cr to sell the total rights of the film.
Given the production house’s reputation and Nithin’s previous film’s success, Rang De can fetch as much amount from all avenues in normal circumstances.
The current situation may not be as favorable as it was before the lockdown. Hence, Zee 5 is looking to close the deal for Rs 36 Cr so that it would be a profitable one for both parties.
The makers want to wait and see until the theaters reopen and how eager is the public to go to movie theaters during corona times before they seal the deal.
