Lots Of Action In Overseas Market

Ever since Bhale Bhale Magadivoy released and proved that overseas audiences can change the game, the business for overseas rights has totally changed.

A small film like BBM which was made with a budget of Rs 6 crores has grossed nearly 1.2 million dollars in overseas market.

Now, that means the film has made money on par with big films like Eega, Temper, Gopala Gopala, Gabbar Singh, Julayi, Govindudu Andari Vaadele, Mirchi, etc.

And if it manages to rake in more money in the coming week then it will join the ranks of Race Gurram, S/O Satyamurthy, Nenokkadine, Baadshah, etc.

So now, the entire overseas business has changed say industry insiders. Apparently, for Sankarabharanam, one buyer paid Rs 25 lakhs extra and bought the rights from the person who picked the rights earlier.

Overseas buyers are said to be looking at investing Rs 60 to Rs 70 lakhs and making Rs 5 to Rs 6 crores in return.

And thanks to BBM, there is already high demand for the rights of Trivikram-Nithin film. Talk is that the producer is demanding Rs 4 crores from the buyers and if that happens then he does not have to bother about hero's remuneration.

If the overseas audiences have to come to theatres, then they go either by the director or by the rating given by reliable websites. Then, they look for the star cast.

On the whole, films of Trivikram, Rajamouli, Srinu Vaitla sell well. Though it appears as if Maruthi has joined them, nothing can be concluded till he pulls off another overseas hit.
