The casting process for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film to be directed by Meher Ramesh is underway.
Keerthy Suresh is said to be finalized as the sister to Chiranjeevi in this film, which is an official remake of Ajith starrer “Vedalam”.
Lakshmi Menon had played the sister’s role in the Tamil version. The makers have roped in Keerthy Suresh to add weight to the project.
The “Mahanati” actress has reportedly demanded huge remuneration to play the sister’s role, and the makers have agreed to her demand.
Sai Pallavi was the first choice. But the makers might have felt that she looks too young to be Chiranjeevi’s sister. Apparently, Keerthy Suresh was finalized after considering several other options.
Anil Sunkara will bankroll this remake. The film will begin its shooting in January 2021.
