'Jawan' finally slows down, only makes Rs 1.5 crore

After shattering numerous records at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film "Jawan" appears to have slowed down in terms of earnings.

On its 30th day of release, the movie is estimated to have garnered just Rs 1.5 crore net across all three languages in theaters.

The total net collection in India now stands at Rs 618.83 crore, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk.

In its fourth week, Shah Rukh Khan's film collected Rs 35.63 crore, followed by Rs 55.92 crore in the third week, Rs 136.1 crore in the second week, and Rs 389.88 crore in the first week of its release at the Indian box office.

Meanwhile, director Atlee, during the India Today Mumbai Conclave 2023, expressed his desire to create a blockbuster worth Rs 3,000 crore featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay.

He discussed his plans for making even bigger blockbusters and the prospect of casting Shah Rukh Khan or Thalapathy Vijay for his upcoming project.

Atlee mentioned his deep trust in Thalapathy Vijay, stating that the actor's consistent work has been a major factor in his success.

Additionally, he acknowledged Shah Rukh Khan's unwavering trust, which inspired him to take on "Jawan" with utmost responsibility and passion.

Regarding his dream project, Atlee emphasized the importance of understanding the value of one's product in the film industry.

He highlighted the challenge of reviving theatrical energy after the pandemic and credited "Jawan" for successfully accomplishing this feat in the context of Hindi cinema.
