Interview: 'There's No Negative Character In AMJ'

Known for making different genre films, director Tirumala Kishore is coming up with a wholesome family entertainer Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu.

The director says ‘Johaarlu’ is the least word to esteem women in family. “We usually say we’ll take best care of women in the family. But the fact is they take best care of us.”

The film’s teaser hinted about characterizations of Sharwa and other lead actors. Kishore informs the film will have a good love story, though the family bonding and emotions is the major selling point.

“It’s an out and out entertainer and youth too will connect to the characters and the story.”

The director earlier narrated a story to a senior hero which didn’t materialize. Clarifying on the same, he says, “I actually penned two different versions, though hero’s character is somewhat similar.”

Sharwanand was doing serious and action-oriented films, before he okayed AMJ. “Sharwa wanted to do a family entertainer, as a changeover. When I narrated this story, he liked it completely.”

The director further informs he wanted an innocent face for the character, thus he felt Sharwanand would be the right choice.

“Hero’s is a joint family, wherein Rashmika’s family is of different set-up. While Sharwa is the only male youngster in the film, Rashmika is very bounded to her mother. However, there’s no negative character in the film.”

The director affirms all the senior actresses in the film lent full support. “They were happy with the fact that a film that gives utmost importance to women is coming after ages. Thus, they gave complete support for me and the film.”

Kishore Tirumala revealed that he locks script, before going for the shoot, as to cut down production of his films.

The director committed to do his next project for DVV Danayya and Naga Chaitanya is being considered for it.
