'Girls Liked Me Even Then'

Jagapathi Babu will be seen as a modern-day dad in Mahesh's forthcoming film Sreemanthudu. And he has been talking about how his second innings has taken off smoothly.

In fact, his salt and pepper look is said to be pretty popular with women of all ages and Jagapathi Babu says that female following is not new to him.

It is known that his father late V B Rajendra Prasad was a big producer of his time and he had given some golden hits with ANR back in his days.

Since his dad was very busy, Jagapathi Babu says his mother took up the responsibility of grooming them and reveals that he was into furniture business in Vizag after finishing college.

He says he would have many college girls visiting him on a regular basis and enquiring after the price of various things that they would never buy.

Jagapathi Babu says he figured out much later that the girls simply visited his store to indulge in some innocent flirting.

Since his dad was into films and since people called him hero even before he entered the industry, Jagapathi says he decided to get into films.

Back then, he debuted with Simhaswapnam and went on to play the hero in many family dramas before taking a break and taking to playing character roles.
