The Telangana Gaddar Film Awards were held in a grand manner on Saturday in Hyderabad.
Unlike typical government functions, the event carried the glitz and glamour of a true film industry celebration, with several top stars, filmmakers, and celebrities in attendance.
However, the absence of some notable stars did not go unnoticed.
Speaking at the event, Dil Raju, Chairperson of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation, addressed the issue directly.
He urged Telugu film celebrities to give due importance to events organized by state governments, emphasizing that such occasions deserve their participation and support.
Dil Raju also revealed that the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to resume the presentation of the Nandi Awards, encouraging industry members to attend those as well when they are announced.
With his active role in bridging the gap between the Telugu film industry and the Telangana government, Dil Raju has increasingly taken on a liaison role.
However, industry insiders note that his influence may be limited in Andhra Pradesh, where Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is now expected to play a key role in managing film industry affairs.
