The trailer of Dhurandhar was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, promising an explosive mix of action, drama, and big-screen spectacle.
Headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film appears; at least from the first glimpse; to be a full-fledged mass entertainer.
The trailer opens with Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal, an ISI operative, taking former Pakistan President Zia-ul-Haq’s notorious “Bleed India with a thousand cuts” doctrine literally.
One after another, the film introduces its key players, including R Madhavan’s Ajay Sanyal, an Indian intelligence officer who insists that Pakistan must be taught a lesson for nurturing terror groups.
“We must infiltrate the very core of terrorism in Pakistan,” Madhavan says, as the narrative escalates. Soon after, Akshaye Khanna appears as the fearsome “Apex Predator” Rehman Dakait. What follows is a chain of violent, unsettling visuals that underline the film’s dark, gritty tone.
Inspired by true events, Dhurandhar boasts a powerful ensemble cast featuring R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal. The trailer leans heavily on swagger, intensity, and testosterone-driven performances.
The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Sara Arjun, daughter of actor Raj Arjun, who makes a brief appearance in the four-minute video.
Loaded with larger-than-life visuals, sweeping frames, and high-octane action, the thriller promises all the grandeur expected from a top-tier Bollywood release.
Written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar hits theatres on December 5 and is presented by Jio Studios.
